At SPAR 3D this year, I had a chance to catch up with Aviad Almagor, the head of Trimble’s Mixed Reality Pilot program. This program is one of the most exciting initiatives in commercial 3D, and it’s developing faster than I could have expected. Last time I spoke with Almagor (less than a year ago) the team was still developing pilot projects to test mixed reality with customers in AEC, mining, and a number of other industries. Now, they’re already releasing commercial products for mixed reality, with more to come soon.
