Integrated Project Delivery/In-Depth Project Session: Children’s Hospital & Medical Center (CHMC) Hubbard Center Project
Technology Case Study: Achieve streamlined estimating, budget maintenance and forecasting while eliminating communication failures
Children’s Hospital & Medical Center (CHMC) Hubbard Center project is located in Omaha, Nebraska. The project consists of adding 426,000 square feet to the existing hospital and the construction of a new 750-stall parking garage. The hospital addition is a $292 million Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) contract, and the parking garage is a $28 million Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract. From the beginning this team committed to innovation and cutting-edge methods starting with the collaborative IPD contracting approach to optimize project results, increase value, reduce waste, and maximize efficiency through all phases of design and construction.
Robb Steffes, Senior Project Manager at Kiewit, and Megan Siefker, Client Solution Manager with InEight, will share how Kiewit is using the latest software technology on the Children’s Hospital & Medical Center to: aggressively manage budgets, capture accurate costs, and collaborate through an integrated document control solution.
They will provide further insight into how they are streamlining the entire estimating process, providing real-time budget management and forecasting, boosting operational efficiency with mobile solutions and eliminating communication failures across the entire project team.
