Cassandra Koenig is a Senior Hydrogeologist at BGC with expertise in numerical groundwater modeling in support of environmental assessments and permitting. She also has experience in resource exploration and geological mapping for energy resources and precious minerals. Cassandra has been involved in scoping, design, and implementation of hydrogeological and geological field programs across Canada, the United States and India. She developed numerical and analytical groundwater models for many of these projects to inform water management and stability assessments, quantify impacts of mining and hydroelectric infrastructure on groundwater flow, and predict groundwater contaminant migration through the subsurface. Cassandra works closely with software and geomatics professionals to visualize results of groundwater model simulations on BGC’s 3D holographic visualization platform.
Cassandra holds a master’s degree in hydrogeology from the University of British Columbia. She joined BGC in 2009, and is based in Toronto, Ontario.
