Interview: 4D and the Future of Digital Construction

Greg Demchak’s role at Bentley Systems is to work with customers and development companies to figure out “what’s next” in digital construction. As someone who is embedded in trying out new technologies, he’s an excellent resource when it comes to looking ahead to the technologies that will shape the digitization of construction going forward. AEC Next editor Carla Lauter joined Demchak for a video interview to touch on technology, from the SYNCHRO and Hololens 2 collaboration to the future of “4D” construction and visualizing construction through time.

P.S. If you are interested in the features of the new version of SYNCHRO that Greg mentions, there is a great video with a demonstration of all of its new capabilities here.
