In case you missed it, Leica Geosystems announced the HDS6100, successor to the HDS6000. The company reports the new device operates over a wider temperature band, -10ºC (14ºF) to +45ºC (113ºF), a 67% increase in internal battery life, a new wireless scanner control system and reduced noise at longer ranges.
