RIEGL Laser Measurement Systems GmbH has announced that, as of Jan. 1, Johannes Riegl Jr. was named chief marketing officer. He will join Dr. Johannes Riegl, founder and CEO and Dr. Andreas Ullrich, CTO in the executive management group.
Graduating from the University of Applied Sciences in Vienna in Business Management, Johannes Riegl Jr. acquired professional experiences in the business sales department of a leading Austrian telecommunication company, according to a press release. He joined Riegl in 2009 as an assistant to the management.
Johannes Riegl Jr. will be responsible for marketing, public relations and business development, including sales partner relations and activities.
This year, Riegl is going to launch several new activities: Riegl’s first Airborne and Mobile Laser Scanning User Conference will be held in Orlando, Florida in late February, and moreover several product road shows are scheduled around the world, including China and South America, according to the press release.
“I am pleased to accept these new responsibilities and I am happy to be even more directly contributing to the success and growth of the company,” said Johannes Riegl Jr., in a statement.
“Having Johannes Riegl Jr. installed in this new function as a CMO allows us now even better to concentrate on our main responsibilities, i.e. planning the future development of the company and taking care for the demanding technical challenges,” Dr. Riegl and Dr. Ullrich said in a statement. “The feedback received from business partners, customers and staff members is thoroughly positive, showing quite well the confidence in our firm and its positioning for the future.”
