Optech and Cardinal Systems team up

Joint initiative will see companies collaborating on software development

TORONTO – Optech Incorporated, a manufacturer of advanced lidar, aerial digital camera and survey instruments, and Cardinal Systems, producer of the Vr Mapping software, announced this week a joint development initiative covering Cardinal’s VR suite of photogrammetric and lidar processing products. Under the terms of the agreement Optech and Cardinal Systems agree to jointly enhance existing software and develop new software solutions for Optech’sline of imaging products, including Optech’s new line of multispectral and interline frame cameras.

“This is a synergistic partnership. Cardinal’s cutting-edge information extraction software is very complementary to Optech’s world-class line of imaging and lidar sensors. We are excited about the possibilities,” said Don Carswell, CEO of Optech Incorporated, in a press release.
